Café

The café on the ground floor carries Amsterdam’s DNA, symbolized by the three crosses from the coat of arms of Amsterdam which are incorporated in the leadlights at the front.

The café is a beautiful high-ceilinged space looking out on the canal, fitted out with leather hangings and original beams.

Here, visitors can reminisce and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a piece of pie or a snack after having toured the museum, attended a lecture or a concert. Note down your impressions with a Hermetic notebook on your table, feel free to browse in one of the books on Amsterdam or on Art in the Golden Age on the shelves, or sit down for a philosophical conversation.

The café is open to visitors with a valid admission ticket.
