Virtual tour

Because not everyone can visit us in person for the time being, we have developed a virtual tour! Now everyone can get a glimpse of a visit to our museum which has been captured through 360 degrees photography.

Discover the Grail of Amsterdam, our colourful garden filled with wild flowers or take a look at the current exhibition about Jacob Böhme. The images on display in the museum are almost all from the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica Collection, the library collection founded more than sixty years ago by Joost Ritman. To discover our virtual tour full screen see below, or click here!

Are you curious after this virtual tour to discover more? From Wednesday 3 June we will be open again as usual. We really look forward to welcoming you again.

We are open from Wednesday – Saturday between 10.00 – 17.00h. You must now, however, book your ticket online in advance, even if you have an annual pass/Museumkaart/Stadspas/ICOM pass. This way, we can ensure a safe visit in accordance with Government rules.

Online tickets only
To buy an online ticket for a specific time slot, click here.

A maximum of 30 visitors is allowed in the museum at any time. It may be that you will have to wait a little before you can actually enter the museum, due to previous visits that are being concluded. In case it’s very busy, tickets are valid for 3 hours at most.

What to bring with you? A headset and a charged phone or tablet
Apart from the Jacob Böhme exhibition tour by Rachel Ritman, we regret we cannot offer any other guided tours at present, which is why we have developed an audio tour taking you past a number of the museum’s highlights.  You can listen to the audio tour on your mobile phone or tablet (so make sure they are sufficiently charged!) and using your own headset or earbuds. We do not sell earbuds ourselves. Should you not have a phone or a tablet, we have a limited number of iPads you can borrow.

For more information about a planned visit to our museum, see our visit conditions here.
