C.G. Jung suggested “active imagination” to his finalising training analysanden to facilitate independence and continue their individuation process. We can see affinity with Plotinus' imagination and spontaneous thought and an example in Jung's Red Book.

Teachers

*Barbara Helen Miller, Ph.D., is a psychoanalyst (C. G. Jung) in private practice, member of International Association for Analytical Psychology, Training Analyst for IAAP in Tbilisi Georgia; anthropologist in co-operation with Research Group Circumpolar Cultures, her research a case study on Sámi healers in Porsanger, Norway. Many of her publications attempt to bring analytical psychology and shamanism into fruitful dialogue.

*Maria Kardaun, Ph.D. is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Maastricht University. Her main interests are C.G. Jung, Ancient Philosophy, mythology, Greek tragedy, aesthetics, and literary criticism. She earned her doctorate in Groningen on a depth psychological interpretation of Petronius' Satyricon, wrote a monograph on μίμησις for the KNAW (The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences), was co-editor of Brill's The Winged Chariot, and co-editor of PsyArt the Journal.

* Carolina Ivanescu, Ph.D. researcher in the social sciences, anthropology of religion, currently Lecturer religion and society, Department of History, European Studies and Religious Studies, University of Amsterdam. Through her work she attempts to contextualise the concept of ‘religion’ and critically engage with its social construction.

*Qi Zhang, trained at the Tavistock Institute and IMD, is founding director of Bridge & Enrich Consultancy, where she partners with corporations and leading business schools to design and implement leadership programs. With a deep understanding of Chinese wisdom, traditional Chinese medicine, Jungian depth psychology, and group dynamics, she skillfully bridges Eastern and Western philosophies and facilitates the connection between nature and human nature.
